OUR PROJECTS

Reforestation

Africa faces a critical challenge of deforestation and land degradation, leading to significant biodiversity loss, disruption of water cycles, and increased vulnerability to climate change.

GFCCA is partnering with local communities to plant indigenous trees and restore degraded lands, creating a sustainable and resilient ecosystem. So far, we have restored over 2,000 acres of degraded land by planting 1.5 million indigenous trees in collaboration with local communities.

Agroforestry

With the food security crisis in Africa and the looming effects of climate change globally, it evident that forestry and agriculture have to work hand in hand.

GFCCA is integrating trees into agricultural landscapes, enhancing food security and environmental resilience for smallholder farmers. So far, we have trained 1,000 farmers in agroforestry techniques, establishing 3,000 plots that enhance food security and biodiversity.

Sustainable Land Management

Land is one of the most endangered resource and the most misused globally.

GFCCA is promoting practices that prevent soil erosion, maintain soil fertility, and improve water retention, ensuring long-term sustainability.

We have partnered with local communities to protect over 50,000 hectares of primary forest, ensuring the preservation of critical habitats in Africa.
